Illegal Aliens
I understand anyone wanting to come to the United States for a better life, but there is a difference between doing it legally and illegally. Furthermore, the one thing that gets under my skin the most is the number of our tax dollars that are being used to support those in the US illegally.
We can't build a wall around Arkansas, but we can definitely roll up the welcome mat. Perhaps, some day we can finish the wall to protect our southern border. But, until then the state government must do everything within its power to discourage illegals from moving to Arkansas. One example is; we currently provide free healthcare to illegal aliens that show up at the Arkansas Department of Health. Why? Because state employees are not allowed to ask if someone is a citizen or require proof of citizenship. One of the first bills I will introduce in the House will deny all state government services to illegal aliens. We may not be able to stop the illegals from entering the United States, but we don't have to use tax dollars to support them.
Anyone who wants to come to our country legally, learn English and contribute to Arkansas will always be welcome. But, over are the days of sneaking in and living off of our welfare systems in Arkansas!
